Lightly disc or drag the plot to cover the seed/fertilizer . Pack the plot with a roller. Spread clovers at 8 pounds per acre. Repack.

  3. Fall Planting. Spray 2 weeks prior to planting. Till or disc the area. Spread 100 pounds 19-19-19 and 50 pounds rye and 50 pounds of oats (all per acre). Disc or drag to cover the seed and fertilizer. Pack. Spread clovers and then repack.

Seclusion 360

  • This can be frost seeded (late winter / early spring) on prepared ground (8 ponds per acre.)

  • Spring planted with an oats cover crop (similar to the clover directions above) at 7 pounds per acre.

  • Fall planted similar to the clover directions above at 6-7 pounds per acre. Same rates with oats and rye nurse crop.

Switchgrass

Method 1

These dates may vary per region of the country:

  1. Mow the area in July and make sure to get rid of all the thatch.
  2. July: Spray Simazine / 2-4d / glyphosate (round up) combo (1 to 2 qts simazine per acre)
  3. August: Spray 2-4d / glyphosate
  4. September: Spray glyphosate
  5. Frost seed in late November/ December prior to snow or late February to March after snow melt.

Method 2

  1. Mow the area asap in spring (if needed)
  2. Spray simazine when the frost is out of the ground. (1 to 2 qts. per acre simazine per acre)
  3. Let the weeds grow a few weeks after spring green up and spray 2-4d and round up combo
  4. 4 weeks later spray round up again
  5. Drill seed with a no till drill. Or, you can broadcast seed and roll it in if the soil has good moisture and you are not in a drought condition. If you have clay if sandy soils, we recommend drilling at this time of year to get the seed in the ground (1/8 deep).
  6. Seeding rate is 8-10 pounds per acre broadcast for screening, 7-8 pounds per acre drilled for screening. Bedding areas can be 6-7 pounds broadcast and 5-6 pounds drilled. The final design of a bedding are will determine the pounds per acre need.
